Sarah McLeod
Behaviour Support Practitioner
Sarah is a compassionate and experienced Social Worker. Graduating with a Master of Social Work from RMIT in 2021and a Bachelor of International Studies from the University of Wollongong in 2014, Sarah has dedicated over a decade to supporting individuals facing complex challenges.
With 3.5 years as an Oncology Social Worker Sarah provided therapeutic support to individuals with cancer diagnoses and complex psychosocial needs, including disability and mental health. This role involved navigating complex systems such as the NDIS and Centrelink, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and applying trauma-informed, strengths-based approaches. Additionally, Sarah mentored junior staff and students, promoting client safety, dignity, autonomy, and empowerment.
In 2025, Sarah transitioned to Behaviour Support Practice, focusing on understanding the "why" behind behaviour and working collaboratively with individuals, families, and teams to create meaningful change. Sarah is passionate about inclusion, promoting dignity, choice, and empowerment for people often excluded or misunderstood due to disability, mental health, or complex life circumstances.
