Jay is a dynamic professional, graduating with a Bachelor of laws from Western Sydney in 2020, and currently pursuing a Master of Social Work (Qualifying) set to conclude in 2024.
Transitioning from a background in Criminal Law, she discovered a fervent passion for Complex Mental Health, and Rehabilitation, prompting her to embrace a career as a Behaviour Support Practitioner in 2021.
Her dedication to innovation and research in mental health was showcased through participation in a Research Forum, where she presented pioneering work focused on enhancing independence for individuals with psychosocial disabilities. Driven by a profound interest in trauma’s impact on human ecology, Jay is committed to effecting positive change in the lives of those facing mental health complexities, particularly within the realms of complex mental health and forensics.
Jay’s passion lies in quality positive behaviour support practice, supporting individuals with complex mental health issues, trauma backgrounds and high-risk behaviours.
